Classes and Activities
Punjabi (Gurmukhi)
We teach Punjabi to guide students in developing strong language skills and a deep appreciation of Punjabi culture. Through our instruction, we nurture cultural awareness, moral discipline, and a meaningful way of life grounded in tradition, shared values, and community pride. Our approach encourages students to connect with their heritage, respect diversity, and carry forward the wisdom, ethics, and identity embedded within the Punjabi language for future generations.
Gurmat
We teach Gurmat to guide students in understanding Sikh principles and beliefs. Through this learning, we nurture spiritual awareness, moral discipline, and a meaningful way of life grounded in Seva (selfless service), Simran (remembrance of Waheguru), and strong faith-based values. Our teachings inspire students to live with humility, compassion, responsibility, and a deep connection to Sikh traditions.
Sikh History
Sikh History is an important area of learning that helps students understand the origins and growth of the Sikh faith. Through the study of the lives of the Ten Sikh Gurus and key historical events, students gain insight into the values, sacrifices, and teachings that shaped Sikhism. This learning fosters respect for faith, resilience, justice, and equality, while encouraging students to develop a strong sense of identity, pride, and responsibility within the Sikh community and the wider world.
Kirtan
We teach Kirtan to help students connect spiritually through Shabad while developing strong musical and vocal skills. Through the practice of Kirtan, students experience the joy of devotion, inner peace, and collective worship. This learning deepens their understanding of Sikh traditions and values, encouraging discipline, concentration, humility, and a lifelong connection to Gurbani and the Sikh way of life.
Santhya
Gurbani Santhya teaches students the correct and pure pronunciation of the Guru’s sacred words. Through careful study and practice, it deepens understanding of Gurbani so it is read, recited, and respected as it was revealed. This learning nurtures reverence, discipline, and spiritual awareness, helping students build a strong, accurate, and meaningful connection with Gurbani and the Sikh faith.
